Departments partner with Texas University for worker safety.
This week, the president’s administration announced that the Department of the Interior and Department of Energy would be partnering with the Texas A&M Engineering Experiment Station in order to continue the operation of the Ocean Energy Safety Institute (OESI). The OESI was created to provide a platform for dialogue among industry leaders and academia to find solutions to improve worker safety for offshore operations.
Interior Department Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for Land and Minerals Management, Laura Daniel-Davis said of the plan, “cooperative efforts between academia, government, industry, and other non-governmental organizations can be used to improve both worker safety and environmental sustainability. The OESI will support critical improvements for all offshore energy activities, including renewable and traditional energy, as well as support new offshore energy technology development.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For the OESI as they work to provide safer conditions for offshore workers.
- That the stewardship efforts of the Interior and Energy Departments honor God.
- For the president’s administration to be effective in improving the safety of the nation’s workers.
